Why is this a story? Why is this a bad story for Mamdani as opposed to the cops in the NYPD who shirk at democratic accountability, which seems like a more pressing problem? Why not interview cops excited about Mamdani? Why is CBS running slanted Free Press content w spelling errors already?

CBS News would never put a thinly sourced 'story' by a rookie blogger like this on it's air. Until now. The Free Press isn't a journalism outlet, it's bloggers aren't reporters. This piece is more NYPost than Tiffany Network but I guess that's the goal.

Despite what some, including at DHS, are claiming, this video isn’t from a year ago in Chicago. It was Friday in Hoffman Estates, in my district, a street I’ve walked myself. It appears to show a child being violently detained by ICE. It’s real, and I’m demanding accountability.

I was in Portland and told the sales person at Nordstrom’s that I needed address to wear to a bar mitzvah. She had no idea what I was talking about. I should add that the bar mitzvah was actually in Portland.

We went out for dinner on Saturday night, to an old favourite suburban place, and had to drive past flashing lights barring people from the ice facility in Broadview. It’s like a dagger in the heart.

There is a local hospital system here that does a gun safety PSA with the tag line “kids are safe when a gun is locked in one” and I just want to say that it’s important to hire good copywriters

I was a medical writer in a previous life. I can’t tell you how I felt when I learned chocolate spots could appear on the skin. I also can’t tell you how it makes me feel that a few decades after I wrote about this stuff in general publications, the freaking medical community still hasn’t caught up.
