Morrison invoking AI alike to "God" indicates a severe misunderstanding of how AI appropriates the work of thousands, including their own, and someone needs to rectify their understanding ASAP.

But also it's a severe disservice to their colleagues anyway to use it and justify it like this.

FFS, half the generation under me IN TECH doesn't know how to use file explorer when they onboard because they do everything via tablet/phone and have no practice choosing to save a file to a specific drive location or know where to find it without search bar. 90% can't use a command prompt. ARGH

This also goes into intentional decreasing of tech literacy via the way computer systems are increasingly designed to obfuscate operations.
They want you dependent on their products and applications. They don't want you to know how it works or be able to do tasks or fix any issues that come up.

I don’t want a computer that I have to talk to and confer with like it’s a real person, or to do all my thinking and creative process for me.

I want a computer that just does the task I need it to do so I can get work done, log off and go live my life.
