*This* is what I want my country to be - diverse, interesting, colourful, welcoming, tolerant, compassionate and so many other POSITIVE things.

I'm so sick and tired of all the misery and hate. Aren't you?

Perhaps they'd be better spending time listening to their *own* party. It's what, three years now since their conference voted for #ProportionalRepresentation. Seems like it'd be in *everyone's* interests to sort that out sharpish instead of these petty attacks.
Just shows what a great job new leader @zackpolanski.bsky.social is doing for @greenparty.org.uk.

There *is* an alternative to the hate.

Make hope normal again.

Oh my lord. I'm utterly exhausted just watching that.

Really sums up the whole debate tho - people with zero experience reflexively screeching and pearl clutching whilst those who have objectively assessed the situation can see the benefits of a medical, not criminal, approach.

The planet has reached its first catastrophic climate tipping point.

160 scientists from 23 countries warn that unless global heating is cut to 1.2°C as fast as possible, warm-water coral reefs will vanish “at any meaningful scale.”

The science is clear: We need to act now.
Comparatively tiny numbers you say? Like those shouting at hotels and shrouded in flags? (Frequently outnumbered by anti-racist counter protestors.)

Amazing what effect tiny numbers can have on the discourse when amplified by powerful voices and the media, isn't it?
Comparatively tiny amounts of people can have a disproportionately huge influence in the public sphere, deluding both themselves and us
Oh, it is. Definitely. Don't know about you, but I'm a whole heap of anxiety and never really been a "joiner" but I've met some proper lovely people and everyone is really kind and let's you go at your own pace. Never been brave enough to go door knocking but just leafleting is really satisfying.
I promise you, turn up to your next local party meeting or go leafleting on an Action Day and you'll be wondering what you were nervous about. They'll be chuffed to meet you and as glad to have you on board as I am! 🌱💚🌱
avoid negative feedback. Despite my pointing out negative and trolling posts on other socials I'm struggling to convince. Can you help me explain what's happening to him please? Is it an oversight or is there a posting policy somewhere I can refer him to? (Doesn't help that I don't use Meta!) Thanks
@greenparty.org.uk Hey GPEW social team. Had a friend mithering me since Zack's conference speech - he followed him on Facebook and wanted to post but couldn't and still can't despite saying other comments. He's a bit miffed as he wanted to post in support but feels like Zack might be trying to...
Really?! I'm "stunned" it's got as much traction as it has. This story has been going on since before June 2016 on both sides of the pond but despite it basically defining the current moment we're supposed to ignore it and all it's implications.

Literally had this conversation today with a RW voter I'm slowly persuading that "law and order" is better served by reducing the impetus to crime rather than alienating people further from society.

Mad that just treating everyone with respect and dignity is so radical.
