So here’s the thing: I, a certified Disabled™️ Person, do not actually care if anyone fakes for an extra 20 minutes on the test. I care deeply about how the fear of that very thing puts up flaming hoops disabled people have to jump through.

Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

So like I still need to play the game to decide if I like that other human characters will be a notable part of Metroid Prime 4, but this cutscene looks GOOD! It's impressive for Switch 2 and even crazier to imagine it'll look basically the same but lower res on Switch 1.

I just finished watching Digital Foundry's Metroid Prime 4 review, and yup I'm excited. I'm not surprised to learn the 4K quality mode is a bit of a stretch, in fact I was expecting it, but still the results they did get are quite impressive for the Switch 2.

I've been a bit down on myself for not streaming recently, and feeling like I'm not a very good streamer when I do stream, but I just saw my Twitch recap and it made me feel better.

Mario Kart World is strange because it's simultaneously the most chill and the most chaotic Mario Kart game of all time. I really love the chill singleplayer vibes of free roam, more than most people I'd say, but I think it would've been greatly enhanced by a story mode.

I kinda need some time to let it sit and to play more of it, but I think I might like Kirby Air Riders more than Mario Kart World. Really it feels like an apples to oranges comparison because what I like about those two games is very different, but overall Kirby Air Riders is like pure fun

I'm progressing through Final Fantasy VII at a steady pace. I expect to be able to get to where I'm at on Duckstation pretty soon. Luckily playing the game goes a lot faster having recently made my way through it and not voice acting all of the characters.

Donkey Kong Bananza's intro goes so crazy. I have yet to watch someone play it without getting stuck in a trance of just punching the ever loving shit out of everything. I think overall I don't feel as purely positive about that game as I'd like to, but it feels so good to control!

I have pretty bad self esteem about my own art (art is being used very generally to refer to basically any creative thing I do in this case), but I kinda lock in sometimes? I feel a strong aversion to praising myself about aspects of my work or even my own character, but I do good shit sometimes.

I downloaded a lot of mods for FFVII that will be in use next time I stream. I'll try to remember to pin a modlist in Twitch chat and the YouTube description, but it basically boils down to 60FPS, new character models, upscaled pre-rendered assets, new sound effects, and a retranslation mod.

When Tomodachi Life Living the Dream releases, I'm streaming it if it has gay romance. If the game is anything like its predecessors, then it'll probably be too slow paced to stream every single bit of gameplay like I usually try to, but I'll stream the first time I play at the very least.

So the thing about Tomodachi Life is that yeah I can recognize its flaws and that it kinda needs more dialogue in particular, but the only actual mark I have against the game is that you can't be gay or enby.
I've had Dragon Quest VII for less than a weel and it's already the 6th most played game on my childhood 3DS. I wonder if it'll ever beat my over 200 hours in Tomodachi Life though lmao
