I feel called out by this post but I'm not even out of that depressive state yet. It's all I know 😭

The videos of you all playing Ring Racers are some of my favorite videos on YouTube lmao. The "MOST DAD-CENTRIC VIDEO YET" where Walter White was everyone's dad felt healing to watch 😭

Streaming the game could've also affected my feelings. Sometimes when I play a game on stream, it can either enhance or hurt the experience compared to if I play it on my own time. Streaming something makes me much more self-conscious about the pacing of my playthrough. I should get over that though

I can not articulate exactly why DKB doesn't fully resonate with me, but I played Mario Odyssey very soon after and I think I prefer the really solid design of that game over the more experimental system of DK where the levels are made to be destroyed and dug through.

Anyway sometimes my drawings are cute, my voice acting is good, and my streams are funny. Only sometimes though.

I can only imagine that my aversion to acknowledging when I do or make something good is from a combination of people talking me down all of my life and me finding it extremely annoying how my parents constantly talk themselves up, but I deserve to treat myself well sometimes :3

I follow a handful of pretty political accounts, and I myself talk about politics on here sometimes. We live in an important political moment, and I do not have the privilege of being able to ignore the horrors, but we've gotta have something more interesting to say than "Trump bad democrats good."

I hope that at the very least people who are like me will appreciate it. And Handbrake helps a lot to compress 4K footage at a level that's hardly distinguishable from regular YouTube compression so storage isn't too much of an issue.

My thing is that 1080p is totally fine for YouTube, most people won't benefit much from anything higher, and it's WAY easier to manage storage and performance with recording at 1080p, but nonetheless I'm a slut for high resolutions and want to upload at 1440p *or higher* for the bitrate alone.

I'm also playing at 4K instead of the ~240p in the PS1 version, and I'm still weighing if I'll record the VODs in 4K or leave them at 1440p. I'm leaning towards 4K, but that uses much more storage.

I love Togashi's art so much. I need to read all of the Hunter X Hunter manga, or at least skip to the parts of the story that haven't been adapted into anime.
