I think anyone who isn’t minoritized or marginalized in some or various ways would be shocked at how often those of us who are are expected to endure such expectations (and to do it without complaint).
One of my fundamental beliefs is that I should not have to talk to people who have been cruel to me. You might be surprised to learn how often -- and vociferously -- people disagree with me about that.
