Called 311, closed for the holiday. Was routed to a traffic line, they said nothing they can do about it, it’s as safe as it can be, too bad the drivers aren’t following the rules. When I pressed on them they hung up on me.

Out for a little after work walk to Aldi & drivers are completely ignoring the flashing red lights at Hennepin & Franklin & just driving through without stopping.

Waved my hands & got some cars to stop long enough for me to cross & the construction workers made fun of me & shouted don’t get hit ☺️

The general philosophy that resonated most with me: do what you can, but when it comes to food, what’s inside the package is more important than the package itself (unless you heat it in-package)

I did a bunch of reading on this last summer & my understanding is microplastics are worst when hot, so things like yogurt containers aren’t as big of a deal as say using plastic dishes or microwaving plastic.
