MPs have just debated two massively important issues. But the mainstream media is nowhere.

So here are a few key interventions from the event – one specifically from John McDonnell over an arms ban on Israel and Palestine Action that everyone needs to watch.
The corporate media IGNORES dozens of MPs debating an arms ban on Israel
John McDonnell, Jeremy Corbyn, and others both spoke passionately about Gaza, Palestine Action, an arms ban, and more during the debate

It was an honour to speak at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica.

It’s time for Britain to confront the legacies of slavery and colonialism.

Reparations are about truth. They are about justice. That means building a more equal future by learning from the past.

There are calls for Lord Eric Pickles to resign from the House of Lords he complained to the Grenfell Inquiry that he was missing important lunches.

Like if he needs to resign.
RT if he needs to be fired.

“Taking Britain out of the Erasmus+ programme was a huge mistake. Labour must rejoin and accept the EU’s offer of a youth mobility scheme”👏

Our youth have been robbed of the freedom of movement we enjoyed - this is the absolute least the Gov’t can do for them

This weekend, we marched once again in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

We sent a message to our government: if you knowingly supply weapons to a government whose leader is wanted for war crimes, the long arm of international law will extend to you too.

The Labour Party are victimising benefit recipients.

Low income families, the disabled, elderly, sick and infirm are being presented as scroungers.

This is happening so Starmers party can protect the wealthy from paying more taxes!

Does this sound like something a genuine Labour Party would do?

Wow, thank you all for following: 300k-plus followers on @bsky.app, for a site I only had 30k followers on before the election and that I barely checked. Crazy growth in just a couple of weeks.

I am loving the energy and engagement, and lack of trolls, on this site.

MPs have launched a review into pensioner poverty after the government admitted the cut to winter fuel payments could force 100,000 people into poverty

Surely this is exactly the sort of review which should have taken place before MP’s were asked to vote?

MPs to review pensioner poverty after winter fuel payment cut
Sir Keir Starmer remained insistent the cut needed to happen to help fund the £22bn black hole he says was left by the Conservative government.

Thanks to the recklessness of the ICC, we now live in a dangerous world where western leaders can't commit war crimes without worrying about accountability x

A right wing paper that has *never* had a similar headline about the UK economy taking a FAR greater hit from the ruinous Tory Brexit deal, can’t be taken seriously when it slates Labour for dealing with the epic mess the Tories left behind.
What did you expect, Times?
You helped grenade the place.

Once upon a time the UK had rent control, and minimum prices for milk, eggs etc for farmers.

Then the billionaires took over and decided to let themselves rob us as much as they like.

Time to take back control.

Ridiculous BBC headline:
"Public sector pay deals help drive up UK borrowing".

Nothing to do with corporate welfare, contracts for cronies, Govt paying higher energy bills, HMRC not collecting £500bn since 2010, Tory legacy.

Just blame workers wanting decent pay.

Borrowing was £17.4bn last month, the second highest October figure since monthly records began in 1993.

As Health Secretary Matt Hancock sent Covid infected patients into Care Homes with zero protection for other residents leading to 30,000-40,000 deaths.

Now at the Covid inquiry he blames Nicola Sturgeon.

He and Johnson should be in court.
Apparently Jeremy Corbyn only appealed to a niche and irrelevant group of people, getting 12.8 million votes.

Whereas Keir Starmer appealed to a much wider and more reflective group of people, only getting 9.7 million votes.

Centrists are not that good at arithmetic!

The ICC’s arrest warrants are long overdue.

The Prime Minister & Foreign Secretary must immediately endorse this decision. That is the bare minimum.

Will the UK government now, finally, honour its international obligations to prevent genocide and end all arms sales to Israel?
