I don’t know if other creators have this, but would be curious to get thoughts and advice about combatting the pre-emptive exhaustion I feel dedicating time to almost any creative pursuit in the AI-era. It makes me feel nihilistic about doing anything and I would love to get out of that headspace.

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

There is one thing this story doesn’t mention: HBO and Zaslav have already gutted Sesame Street. Its current iteration retains only a fraction of its soul and wit. It runs half the time, and often includes no new material whatsoever. It lost its spark a long time ago.
HBO has declined to renew “Sesame Street” for new episodes. The series that’s been teaching generations of little kids since 1969 now has no studio.

One of the weirdest things about working in-person through the pandemic and now working hybrid is I have no idea what the protocol is for when I’m sick.
