I misread someone’s sweatshirt in the street: I ❤️ Roma
Took me a moment to realise they meant the city, or possibly the football club.

We used to live around the corner. I wish I had the money, though I suspect it would be expensive to maintain.

It’s actually 36,50 for the basic ticket, which guarantees you a seat in the beer tent and there’s entertainment and “atmosphere”. There are also more expensive options that include food. I’m happy to pay for food and drink but I resent paying an entrance fee.

My sympathies. I came home from work at 17h and went to bed for a couple of hours. I don’t even have to do stuff for the kids but I’m shattered.

How the heck does that work? You must be a scientific miracle.

I already went to Tombeau des Lucioles, which had me in floods of tears, and Princess Mononoke (cheerier).

There’s a Studio Ghibli season running at our local cinema. I’m hoping to catch Kiki’s Delivery Service on Sunday.

German seems to have fallen out of fashion in British schools too. Possibly replaced by Spanish.

I didn’t realise the gov.uk site also carried party political broadcasts.

Yesterday my etsy shop had preciously one view. (And i think that was probably me) If you like my stuff please repost. An eccentric millionaire with lots of empty wall space could be scrolling your timeline right now. marswasrubbish.etsy.com/listing/1579...
One of my prints “And now we’ll abseil down the other side” Shows a mountain that’s actually a monster with abseilers on top of it.

Oh no. Sending gentle hugs.

Despite protesters setting fires in the square outside and concerns about drug use, I really love my neighbourhood and generally feel safe here.

The view from our bedroom window right now. Lots of black smoke.
It’s 7am and still dark. Multiple fires on Place de l’Yser, bright orange flames and huge plumes of black smoke. Traffic barriers and material from the construction site have been dragged across the ring road to block traffic.

Well tbf I was a massive pain at that age too. They’ll grow out of it. Probably.

Seemed to be just general young person idiocy.

If I could go back in time and prevent the invention of this disgusting dessert, I absolutely would.

I went to Liège for the opera (which was very good) but I’m mostly excited about my first trip on the TRAMS, which came into service earlier this year.
View from inside a tram of the driver’s cab. A sign reads: Ne pas distraire le conducteur/ la conductrice (Please don’t distract the driver.) A brand spanking new tram on Liège’s tramline 1 pulls away from stop “Opera”. Destination: Coronmeuse. A large vertical information board showing the route of line T1.

It’s revoltingly sweet and horribly disappointing.
Not *quite* as bad as banoffee pie 🤢 but close.

Which was indeed the destination of our tram.
