There was a moment in the first episode of #PrimeTarget on #AppleTV when I thought they might treat math as phenomenology. But it turns out the math in this show is about as deep as the “symbology” in #TheDaVinciCode - nonsense to on which to hang a bland TV plot.

Erika works 8 hours a day harvesting raspberries on CAs Central Coast. She shares, "I must be very careful to only harvest the ripe fruit. This careful selection means that only the best quality berries are packed and shipped to the supermarkets for you to eat." #WeFeedYou

I once lost a case because the Court of Appeals said there was no error in the trial. There *was* error; I should have lost because the error was harmless.

I once played in a grand pause *at Carnegie Hall* during a Mahler 1 performance. It was pianissimo, so only my section heard it, but still, not great. BUT. One guy in my section loved to retell the story, and in his version, I crashed in double forte LIKE A SIMPLETON. It’s been 24 years; still mad.

What meaningless thing/experience are you still mad about? Like it should not matter at all, DOES not matter at all. But you’re still MAD.

And how long has it been?

I bought some bagels at Hy-Vee four years ago. So bad. Too big. Hard. Bland. WORTHLESS.

I’m still FURIOUS.

It won’t work, but more power to him. Federal agents acting within the scope of their duties can remove their cases to federal court and assert a qualified immunity defense. Whether or not they have qualified immunity, they certainly can invoke federal jurisdiction.

I see what you’re saying, but I’d point out that it’s not a true mirroring. Take a look at the “GO” in “GONE.” Whether it’s a reflection or a shadow of a reflection, the open side of the “G” would face the “O.” But this has the “G” opening the other way. Which I guess says nothing about who did it.
dylanjcb.bsky.social
That is cool. Wouldn’t the rest of the art team need to be involved to create that “reflection?” It’s not just a speech bubble pasted over the panel.

Notice how she blames the affordable care act for creating a crisis in healthcare. To be clear, the only healthcare crisis in this country was created by the Trump’s big beautiful bill -- aka Trump-doesn’t-Care.

I call it Miller Park because I didn’t know it had been renamed. But that’s still just a giant corporate sponsor that doesn’t deserve loyalty from fans.

They should rename it LaFollette Field.

“Reds” has been in my queue for a few months. Tonight I’ll watch it, right after I finish my re-watch of Manhattan.

“I don’t want to hear about that. I’m from Philadelphia!”

#DianeKeaton, “Manhattan.”

She was terrific in Annie Hall and Manhattan. Her loose, naturalistic acting really flourished under his undisciplined directorial style. She brought his scripts to life.

Thank you #DianeKeaton for giving me an excuse to re-watch “Manhattan.“ Keaton’s naturalism really bring to life Allen’s scripts; his famously relaxed directorial style let her fill out the role. They really had excellent chemistry on screen. (Insert obligatory caveat about Allen’s sleaze here).

No idea if that’s a real quote, but I hope it is.

Dorothea Lange died on this day in 1965.

Her photographs captured the brutality of the Great Depression and the inhumanity of the Japanese internment.

I missed the #ALDS game last night because I’m not invested in either team. Seems like I missed out. I won’t make that mistake with the #ALCS.

The article says different ABS systems give different calls on that pitch. Some see a strike, others a ball.

Frankly, I’d be all for ditching the rectangle on the screen. Let’s let fans argue bad calls on the same subjective basis the umps and players are making the calls.

It took me 20 years to figure out Gator and Dewey were different people. In my defense … mustaches.
