This weather is gross. Summer would never. Cold weather people and I will never see eye to eye.

They want FEWER tariffs. I stg the fact that no one knows when to use the word fewer instead of less anymore is the thing that is going to make me turn into the Joker.

Made it out to the 34th Street lighting, but missed the actual lighting because some people decided they need to shove past us with a stroller and 50 kids right as it happened.

Finished up all my errands for the day. Even made a last minute impulse purchase of a table top sized tree to see how the cats do with it. Now trying to decide if I want to read my book while listening to Christmas music or watch a Christmas movie.

Ooh The Librarians documentary that has been tons of film festival awards is going to be at the Parkway December 18-21. That's such a difficult time to see a movie with all the Christmas stuff happening, but hopefully I can find time to see it. parkway.eventive.org/schedule/the...

Trying to psych myself up to go out in the cold. I need to walk to the library to pick up books on hold, to the UPS store to return a package, go buy a wreath, and then drive to drop off stuff at Goodwill and pick up my husband's beer advent calendar from Peabody Heights.

What’s up?

Spending my Black Friday watching dumb Christmas movies. Starting with A Very Jonas Christmas Movie. It’s only an hour and 17 minutes long, which feels like the appropriate length of a Jonas Brothers movie.

The only good thing about how awful I feel this morning after knowingly eating too many high fat things yesterday that is not a good idea for the current state of my GERD is that I now know the super sad diet I’ve been eating the last month+ is helping somewhat even though it’s still not great.

I need zero recipes about what to do with my Thanksgiving leftovers. I love Thanksgiving food, but only eat it at Thanksgiving so I don't want to turn it into other things.

Home made crescent rolls for the win!

I was listening to a podcast where someone was talking about their grandmother's beloved dish composed of lime jello, evaporated milk, and Oreos and I'm struggling to think of a more revolting sounding combination

2025 has probably been the worst year for me in the past decade, which is saying a lot. And I am thousands of times better off than a lot of people. But things I am thankful for as always are my husband, my friends, and music.

Crescent roll dough is rising so time to catch on the parade over breakfast

I have so many words muted I know somebody something with a newsletter but have no idea what or who you’re talking about. This is not an invitation to enlighten me.

Dear McCormick why have you redesigned your spice bottles so that it’s impossible to get the lid off if you need to measure them out by the spoonful which is mostly how I use them?

I wish winter was this temperature all the time. I would even allow all the snow lovers to have one good snow storm as long as it was warm again right after and it melted away quickly.

Took today off so I can bake pies today (still bitter that for 20 years I got today off and as of 2 years ago I don’t anymore), but first I’m going to see Wicked: For Good.

I don’t need anything for Thanksgiving dinner but I need to run into the grocery store just to buy bananas for my breakfast for the next few days. I have made a terrible mistake.

Dear people of the internet. Eat what you want. Watch the movies you like. Don't partake of the things you don't like. As far as I'm aware unless you're a small child no one is forcing you to eat turkey or pie or mac and cheese or watch Star Wars.

I'm going to watch it because I've come this far, but I cannot tell you how little I care about Stranger Things at this point. I honestly don't even know what is happening in that show anymore, and all the teenagers are like 30 years old now. The last good thing it did was bring Kate Bush back.

This is an excellent thread of the cuckoo bananas things that the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has put out into the world, but this one might be my favorite. I love Shirt Tales as a kid. Did I remember it existed until I saw this? No, I did not.
Did the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade try to get the cast of the legendary HILL STREET BLUES to do a musical number with the cast of
SHIRT TALES?

No.

They didn’t try.

THEY *DID*.

I resent every time I start watching a video of animals and then realize part way through it’s totally AI because they are doing entirely unrealistic things

One of the things I'm currently trying is eating 5 small meals a day instead of 3 large meals. As someone who is not much of a snacker between meals, I now feel like I am eating all of the time.
