Hello all! I'm not so active on here at the minute, but wanted to share that the first screening of my community pop-up cinema, Breeze Frame Film Club, is on Thursday at the Irish World Heritage Centre in Cheetham Hill!

bold of The Devil's Hour to go with the conceit that a heavily autism-adjacent character is a 'soulless husk' that doesn't belong in this world, very bold indeed

RIP this legendary chap, an honour to be in proximity
It is with enormous sadness that we share the passing of our client Jack Shepherd, on 24 November.

A review of Jack’s first full length play, IN LAMBETH, recognised that his writing ‘makes you remember why you go to the theatre’.

We mourn his loss and celebrate his remarkable legacy.

In 1918, Jack Grossman, assistant to magician aka William Ellsworth Robinson (aka 'Chung Ling Soo'), famously shot Robinson dead when a bullet-catch trick went wrong.

In 1982, the same Jack Grossman recreated the bullet-catch on The Paul Daniels Magic show.

All of this goes harder than necessary.

Carol Lynley in the Orson Welles Great Mysteries episode "Death of an Old-Fashioned Girl" makes one of the all-time great character death faces.

It's even better with the context: she's tried to deface a painting, but accidentally stabbed herself in the stomach.
