Not to get people irrationally excited or anything, but Matvei Michkov looks VERY good. Just dumped Ty Murchison (not a small dude) on his way to win a puck battle and then quickly sets up a tap-in goal. He's having a really good day.

Cam York says he thinks there's a lot of similarities between Brad Shaw and new assistant coach Todd Rierden. Said he thinks Rierden will be a perfect fit for the group in terms of coaching the d-men.

Going back to 1979, no NHL team had lost back-to-back Stanley Cup finals, until Edmonton these past 2 yrs

That's pretty wild

Also, dating back to NHL expansion in 1967, only two NHL teams lost back-to-back Cups and neither went on to win Cup anytime soon thereafter

Thanks for listening Jay! I've just been a big fan of Barkey from the start, I think it's highly unlikely they start him in the NHL but I am just so impressed with his skill, energy, leadership ability, and most importantly, his drive and fight
