The Flyers -- aside from Dan Vladar -- didn't show up for the first period on Thanksgiving eve.
But over the final two periods, they didn't just beat Florida. They out-Panthered the Panthers.

The Flyers -- aside from Dan Vladar -- didn't show up for the first period on Thanksgiving eve.
But over the final two periods, they didn't just beat Florida. They out-Panthered the Panthers.

Great read as always Charlie. Glad you hit on the part of the Flyers grinding down the Panthers in the 3rd. Youth vs elders was certainly on display in that period.

Also, what a maneuver by that Flyers fan in Florida that they put on screen and then he immediately lifted his shirt up to show his nipple. You might only get one opportunity in your entire life to do something that ridiculous.

We have at least gotten a couple of Tippett-Zegras-Michkov shifts tonight. They looked dangerous on that one.

Any other player, I would think that's incidental. It's Marchand, so I assume it was very much accidentally on purpose to make contact with Vladar's head there. He gets zero benefit of the doubt.

Ugh, Hathaway was soooo close to getting his first goal (and point) of the season. He needs one badly.

I mean, they definitely wouldn't. But they shouldn't! They're nowhere near Cup contender status. Florida would bulldoze them in a seven-game series.
They are hanging in there, which is great. But getting dominated at points. Not sure they would survive a playoff series against a heavy team like Florida

Glad Owen Tippett picked up a secondary assist on that one. He's been maybe the only Flyers skater tonight who has had jump from the opening faceoff.

Seeler looks like he's back with Drysdale. Andrae wasn't sharp to start the game -- it was his turnover that kicked off the long offensive zone possession for Florida that kinda sent the game into chaos mode and eventually led to Florida's goal.
