Tom Homan: DOZE GODDAMM SOMALEES AR ROONIN MURKA!
BASH: The vast majority of Somalis in Minnesota are US citizens or legal residents. So why send ICE there?

HOMAN: There's a large illegal Somali community there. There's a large illegal alien community there. If you're a US citizen, you have nothing to fear.

Unfortunately, this country is reactive when improving itself, not proactive. When disaster strikes, we have tended to evolve positively, after enduring damage. How about we avoid the damage, and put some real barriers into our law, so no Trump can ever happen again?
This is why I’m cautiously optimistic — in the long run.

Harris has sounded presidential since 2012, but I don't agree. Shapiro is more of an overt supporter of Israel, so it's possible the VP would've lost more US voters prioritizing Palestinian life over alliance with Israel. Too many were looking for the perfect candidate; didn't see Trump as threat.
If Kamala Harris had picked Josh Shapiro as a running mate, she’d likely be President now.

Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin almost always vote the same way in any given election. And she only barely lost these three states.

Some of US voted for this. I'd like to hear people explain why, and apologize to the rest:

Police Chief Brian O’Hara has delivered a blunt message to his department: If an officer witnesses ICE agents using illegal force and fails to step in, they will be fired. 👏 👏 👏
Minneapolis police chief warns officers: Stop unlawful force by ICE or lose your job
Chief Brian O’Hara says he’ll fire city police officers if they don’t intervene when immigration agents use unlawful force.

Mamdani: Oftentimes when we win elections, we tell people to go home and just trust us. But the message really has to be that we want you to come along with us… That’s something we’ve been looking to share with New Yorkers: We want to not only win with New Yorkers, but also govern with New Yorkers.

Kamala Harris would have been a thousand times better president.

I guess this means that if there are some big collisions on the pitch, Trump will prevent the fights?

Spotify has laid off thousands in recent years, while reportedly paying artists $0.003 per stream.

Spotify profits rose 28% in Q3. Its CEO is worth $9.8 billion. It's making money off ICE recruitment ads.

Don't you think it's time put a wrap on corporate greed and exploitation?

Jacob Frey: "If we are now at the point where the federal govt is deploying agents on legal American citizens with a goal of uprooting people who have formed lives here, have families here, started businesses here, definitively made Minneapolis a better place, everybody should be speaking out."

The one year anniversary of Yoon's failed martial law takeover just passed and lots of untold stories came out proving that THE ONLY REASON KOREA IS STILL A FREE COUNTRY IS BECAUSE PEOPLE DISOBEYED ILLEGAL ORDERS.

The coup was over in hours because people said no.

I'm personally 100% in for James Talarico, but I can't help but shake my head at the sad folks who are downplaying Rep. Jasmine Crockett's chances. She's brilliant, a great communicator, and has wide support among the Dem base in Texas. Underestimate at her at your own peril.

Since these people are so intent on bringing back big stick foreign policy, I wonder how they'd feel about reinstituting the penalties for murder of the late 19th century.
Admiral Bradley is set to brief Congress tomorrow on the boat strikes—

Which brings Admiral Holsey’s recent resignation to mind, after he informed Hegseth that he had no intention of carrying out an illegal order after 40 years of service in the U.S. Navy—

I’d like to hear Holsey’s testimony too

Do you know anybody who believed that once Trump took over, the economy would flourish, because he said so?
U.S. job cuts have reach 1.17 million this year, the most since 2020.

Being president is just too much for him, but enough voters in our flawed democracy preferred him to daughter of immigrants with experience at nearly every level of government. Will we emerge from our collective national stupidity with greater understanding of the threat of fascism?
PRO TIP: If you're going to lash out at reporters for questioning your stamina, don't fall asleep mid-rant.

I used to love driving big cars, but I'm fine with driving smaller ones if it helps the environment. What kind of "choice" is this?
Sean Duffy on slashing fuel economy standards: "This rule will actually allow you to bring back the 1970s station wagon. Maybe a little wood paneling on the side. We can bring back choice to consumers."

Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

What are they running on? Trump has been the only thing or person inspiring voting among Republican voters and the further right since 2016.
I never believe polls and I do not believe that to be true
Keep track of all the GOP candidates distancing themselves from Trump
No one is asking him to come & stump for them
If he endorses them, they will not put it in their ads
Trump is fucked

watched Absentia @netflix.com over the past week, and while a well done thriller, it's also instructive on how people become corrupt. It didn't need a fourth season, and didn't get one.
