Companies have decided to pay people less who work remotely, even if they have more expertise and/or provide more value to a company than certain people who go into the office.

Guess who needs remote jobs more? Marginalized groups! especially disabled people! What a coincidence! 🫠

This past week of leave has been a game-changer. Less dread, more disconnection. With my fantastic family and beautiful wife, I found a new sense of clarity. Now, I'm curiously and excitedly searching for new opportunities that will truly value my unique contributions.
Aiming to spark debate through possibly controversial proposals, the authors suggest that academics should be limited to one publication, book or chapter every year, or even every two years, as a solution to the “publish or perish…mania”.

Horribly tragic case which evidences how challenging designing remote clinical decision systems for call handlers can be, in assessing peadiatrics breathing rates, noises, causes.

Improvements should include the people, the processes, as-well-as the technology used.

Great to see Tom Fallon featured here. Tom is WAST respiratory clinical lead for remote care and a key member of my team.

His work is already showing the potential to embed respiratory and rehab thinking upstream in the 999 and 111 systems.

I really enjoyed being a panel member at this week's Welsh Ambulance research day with colleagues Aasha & Scott where we discussed & answered questions on emerging technologies, change management, implementation science, & of course the role of AI in healthcare.
The authors advocate for a renewed commitment to nurturing nurse scientists and collecting robust data to inform future planning, asserting that without such action, the academic and clinical contributions of nursing science may diminish significantly.
