Happy 50th anniversary to the women's basketball writer and creator of the first national poll for WBB. @inquirer.com reporter Mel Greenberg laid the foundation for where we are today. www.inquirer.com/college-spor...
The AP women’s basketball poll turns 50 today. Its story starts here, at The Inquirer
Mel Greenberg, then an Inquirer sportswriter, founded a poll that launched women's hoops into the national spotlight — and created a platform for the likes of UConn's Geno Auriemma.

“This is a family friendly event. Kids 12 and under must get the ball once every 4 downs. Try not to steamroll anyone over 30.”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.
