Bangor area, Bangor, Maine that is, tonight at 7 we're reading some flash fiction and hopefully having fun; I've got a couple horror pieces for the season.
Probably not a good sign in a democracy when everyone is wondering if we've tripped the line into another mode of governance.
I see they put the least qualified at the top...

I remember this being an utterly bizarre Crichton-esque apocalypse story. Might need to revisit it, Greg Bear was a favorite of mine back in highschool.
Greg Bear (1951 - 2022) was born on this day. In 2023, I wrote about his brilliant SF novel Blood Music (1985), as uplifting as it is disturbing, and one of my favourite books of the 1980s.
