the ballroom will never be built and he’ll just pocket whatever money he collects because he is a grifter first and foremost
Trump raises the price of the ballroom to $350 million

(It changed from $200 million, then $300 million, now $350 million within the course of a few days)

Modern Agriculture is one of the most under appreciated miracles of the modern world.

We moved away from subsistence farming for a good reason! It was a lot of labor for not much food!
This isn’t a Platner endorsement, but if Mills can’t beat him, then she was never going to beat Collins.
This confirms for me that the age thing is a HUGE liability for Mills going forward.

I’ve had fun with my anthologies. The 1st was WWI, a commercial topic to get things going. The 2nd is the Scientific Rev, which isn’t commercial. Hitting ignored eras is the real point of these, so we’ll see how it goes. If it makes its money back, we’ll go ancient with the 3rd.

β€œIt is important to demonstrate that authoritarian gains are not permanent. That liberal society has the will to undo their grotesqueries.
Demolishing the Trump ballroom and restoring the East Wing will be symbolic. But symbolism matters to authoritarians.”

My biggest concern is when does that realization of Trump’s unpopularity catch up to the elites?

Because it doesn’t matter how upset β€œthe people” are, a united ruling class is a tough nut to crack.

A fractured ruling class is what makes a revolution.

The four aspects of a great character are the Need, the Want, the Ghost, and the Lie.

A Want is their conscious desire.

A Need is what they really want but might not know.

A Lie is the thing they believe that keeps them from that Need.

A Ghost is that spiritual wound that caused the Lie.
