I was in an RP a while back that, at one point, involved Alyssa's mind getting copied into a robotic body at the same time as a certain blue hedgehog's, causing their two personalities to kinda merge together.
After being put into a new body made of liquid metal, she now goes by the name Alis.

Sonic 06 is a really good example of this, where people were recently too focused on the game's potential and the Project-06 remake that they didn't realize the game isn't good
There's a type of gamer who just idealizes the idea of a game so much they invent a perfected fiction to supplant the original game in their mind and wield it as a cudgel against other games they don't even have an interest in playing and it baffles me so much
