I know she sucks but I can’t help but feel envious of people with this level of self-involvement. Imagine what it would feel like to love yourself no matter the idiotic shit you did, to not spend a second worrying what others thought of you. Bliss!
women are always saying “lord grant me the confidence of a mediocre man.” ok well he did. now what. is the world a better place? look at what you’ve wrought.

Sad days when I have to defend Kevin Kruse from illiterate morons with incoherent theories of politics that the base doesn’t share!
Weird how at some point the ACA subsidies went from meaningless technocrat babble that it was obviously incredibly stupid for Democrats to try protecting to being incredibly important for helping people avoid suffering.

And Democrats managed to get it wrong both times!! What were the odds?

Trust the experts unless I, Tom Nichols, deem them politically unreliable.
I have a section in the book about politicizing expertise. And as a longtime academic (who saw years of my friends in MESA and LASP), and who's watched the eruption of anti-semitism on campuses, an academic group of genocide scholars is not moving me on this. Sorry/not sorry.
I thought your whole thing was believe the experts?

Court records show the Trump Administration used lists passed directly from Canary Mission to target Mahmoud Khalil but this Roger Bennett guy blocked me for suggesting that some Jewish groups are responsible for a portion of the “can’t criticize Jews” position.

Embarrassing and harmful stuff

The "unitary executive theory" is a fancy name for a strategy used by authoritarians worldwide, rebranded for the US. It’s a legal blueprint for a power grab, and my new article explains how it turns the law itself into a tool for undermining democracy:
How to Dismantle a Democracy, Legally
The unitary executive theory is a masterclass in autocratic legalism.
