This year at the Quilt Festival in Houston I was drawn to itty-bitty piecing.
Hexies are about 1/2” across

Sigh I did not even make back the cost of framing from my gallery show :') I think I will think twice and just enter smaller things and reuse all the frames from here on out

Got this one up in the store--a bit pricey because it's a reduction print, but there's still sliding scale options in the dropdown box

I'm back on my old internet hunts and this guy has multiple insanely detailed websites cataloging things like...parquet wood borders, historical Jamaican hotels and forgeable plants. Truly worth a look around

A hot air ballon floats above similarly shaped islands (mountain and coast). THe islands float in space. The earth is down below and clouds above.

Vienna-born American Franz Felix only illustrated two erotic works – Pierre Louÿs’ Songs of Bilitis in 1928 and E. Powys Mathers’ anthology Eastern Love in 1930, but his stylish plates are a model of composition and the gently suggestive. See them now at www.honesterotica.com/illustrator/....

It's still warm enough for me to wear this dress and jacket I recently finished! I was inspired by the Korean jogakbo patchwork technique.

Mostly hand sewn, as I was on a family holiday and needed some relaxing hand sewing. 1000 flat-felled seams may not be relaxing to some, but it is to me 😅

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

What if the connection between reactionary MAGA politics and the sexual abuse of children is deeper than we want to admit?

The name for this idea is pedocon theory.

Today I return to work after my surgical interlude so what better than a trig & trim #1890s tailormade for professional inspiration. This is an eye catching skirt suit combining sharply constructed blue with some soutache trim & a playful touch of velvet. Wish me luck! #V&A #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡
