TV Trash-o-ween continues with a platinum tier example of the form.

If you're a comic book fan visiting Denver and you don't go to Mile High, you will regret it. The store itself needs to be experienced. I would be embarrassed for you if you just went to a random local shop instead. The prices are ludicrous, but there's nothing like it on Earth.

I spaced mine out a couple weeks, leading with COVID, and I really wished I'd taken off the day after. Flu did nothing to me.

Image Comics potential orders that I missed entirely because I didn't have a catalog in front of me:

Darkness #1
Invincible Omnibus
Private Eye tp
You'll Do Bad Things tp

A shortfall of a couple hundreds dollars, but for Ed Moore. Might not be so lucky next month.

I think Gold Key did this, too.

Would have been a better fit at Valiant.

Hey thanks-- I like that!

I know it's an ask, but there's a reason why the top publishers have been continuing their own catalogs. I'm going to start missing Image books before long...

You can put out a digital catalog, but all that stuff hits the news sites weeks before I'm placing orders. I'm not doing your work of digging for solicits, and I don't want to peruse the internet to access print media purchasing anyway.

I can't stress enough to comic book publishers that with Previews gone, if you're not putting out some kind of physical circular, the odds of getting eyeballs on anything new are nil. I'm scanning an online outlet with a page of postage stamp thumbnails for a second or two, and then audition over.

Sportsball Karen with an entirely predictable take on Bari Weiss was a no-brainer block. When audience is the coin of the medium, bankrupt them with permanent inattention.

TFW you've been nursing a grudge for half a century over no one being interested stocking Hi & Lois collections, "like they do that %*&@ Jim Davis!"
diabolu.bsky.social
Sure, the politics are bad, but I'm more shook that Hi & Lois is still being produced?

A fun, forgotten Bronze Age gem is STALKER. It had a brief 4-issue run in 1975.

It was created & written by 19-year-old Paul Levitz, straight out of high school. The art job was given to Steve Ditko, his 1st work for DC since the Creeper in 1968! Even better, Wally Wood inked him. 3 Hall of Famers!
All 4 issues of Stalker, 1975

Brian Bolland covered the Batman Official Annual 1982 (UK). Presented as published, and without lettering.
Under the Bat-Signal, Batman stands holding a joker playing card, as the Joker levels a gun at his back. Published cover. Same - no lettering.

Some more exceptional pages from BLUE DEVIL #6 by Paris Cullins & Ernie Colon! Things get chaotic in the casino, Dan's Weirdness Magnet leads to a colorful launch, and in the end Blue Devil is literally sawing logs!

My old neighborhood in Chicago. This is the city I know and of which I’m so proud.
Flyer for Rogers Park Whistle Protocols, a whistle code to alert neighbors to ICE activities. Three short equals ICE is in area, three long means someone is being detained.

I topped the average America with a top ten blackout and (no disrespect) am 2 over on you. Mostly the same gaps, too. The entire center (starting in Kansas) and northwest quarter, plus the non-contiginous states.

TFW the celebrity you always thought of as a young person isn't, and you thought of them that way because you're so much older yourself.
