Former Canadian military are speaking out against the partial cancellation of the American F35 contract with Canada. The article below pimps the F35 as best for NA defence, but does not mention a possible invasion of this country by the US. Kill switch, anyone?

There are elements in the Canadian military that favour technological integration with American forces while the Canadian public overwhelmingly does not. Might there be a need to remove those from the military who are in thrall to the charisma of American technology?

So let me get this straight: Trump wants Apple to move production to the US so it can pay tariffs on the materials it uses for phones. Brilliant. Why isn’t Apple jumping at this splendid offer?

Most definitely, yes.
🔥 "The idea of Canada joining the European Union is ambitious, but it follows a certain logic.

Canada meets the Copenhagen criteria (rule of law, democracy, market economy) and shares the fundamental values of the EU."
Does Canada’s future lie with Europe?
Amid political uncertainty and in a changing world, Canada would benefit from strengthening its ties with the European Union.

Alberta’s Premier Danielle Smith wants to start an unprovoked sovereignty and separation fight with Canada at the same time as Canada’s sovereignty and economic health is being attacked by Donald Trump.

Despicable.

She claims she “doesn’t want Alberta to separate.” I think that’s an obvious lie.

There is no better symbol of the links between Poilievre and Trumpist politics than the plastic straw. We need an AI mock-up of Trump and Pp on either end of a plastic straw. Caption: For Canada — vote Liberal.
Another Trump policy being used by Poilievre, Canada if you don’t see what he is doing, you are sleep walking - vote for our country, this guy would destroy us #NeverConservative

Sure it’s a relief that Trump has relented on some tariffs. But such hijinks will be replaced by others. As Francis Bacon once said, “Hope is a good breakfast, but an ill supper.”

We forget that Russians then and now are past masters of deportations. The Americans, however, are learning fast.
OTD in 1949 Soviets issued orders for deportations from Moldova to begin. Over 30,000 people were forcibly moved, after we had "liberated them from fascism" in Great Patriotic War.

Imagine this kind of thing happening today. Oh. Wait. My bad.
