Our street had a great little carols and mince pie party where #sophiefromromania was invited to be the celebrity turning on some Christmas lights. I had to take over as she was a bit shy but she did accept a treat from a fan..

We’ve made this investigation free to read because so many people in Sheffield are affected by this story.

Our journalists have been knocking on doors for weeks and we’ve had to employ lawyers because of the legal threats made against us.

We can only do this kind of journalism with your support.
“It broke my heart, that was my savings towards a new car,” one woman who paid Milne tens of thousands of pounds told us. “He has just wiped me out.”

Who is Andrew Milne - the solicitor sending "very aggressive" letters to Sheffield homeowners?

One of the most cited papers in the journal Philosophy is Wrongdoing and Forgiveness (1987) by Joanna North, then of Birkbeck College. She seems not to have published anything else and to have withdrawn from Philosophy as far as I can tell. Anyone have any knowledge of her, by any chance?

My word but the BBC used to make some really good programmes. Here on the BBC iPlayer you can get Bryan Magee's 1987 'The Great Philosophers' series, where you can (as I currently am doing) watch Sydney Morgenbesser talking about Peirce, James and Dewey.
