I can’t join my local No Kings protest on Sat. bc I’ll be flying home from taking my mom’s ashes to be buried w/our dad per her last wishes. True story: my mom marched in a protest in Jan 1965 while 8 mos. pregnant w/me. I’ll be thinking of her at the next protest I can join.

It may sound simplistic but finding whatever calms your nervous system to any degree for any length of time is helpful. I am an ACES/ trauma trainer & I have to remind myself to think about my basic nervous system regulation. I have a chronically jacked nervous system so even little things help.

I’m really fucking tired of my stress response being constantly activated. The past 4 yrs of Biden had allowed it to calm down again after the first 4 yrs of the Orange Clown. Now? It’s 10 times worse. I curse every American who voted for this rancid man; may they never know peace EVER again. 2/2

I have been carrying it for decades, and yet it has never hit as hard as it is now. Our nation is on the precipice; while I hold the belief that we will ultimately reject & dismantle this authoritarian madness, I also fear it could take years to undo the damage being done. 1/2
