Some say I spoil my Renfield, but I don’t see the harm in it. He does a good job, and I haven’t had to work for my nightly feed in decades. He keeps the blood flowing and cleans up any messes. Least I can do is make sure he's got his favorite #beetles and bugs to snack on.

He watched the black spot cross the rug. When it reached the floorboards it turned into a #beetle and stopped. He wasn't sure exactly where its eyes were but it seemed to look at him.
They stayed like that for a moment. Checking each other out. Wondering if anything else was still alive.
