I built this shelter and lived in it full-time for 2 years through 2 Indiana winters. Cooked on a fire, made the things I needed like pottery, baskets, tanned hides, flintknapped tools... Everything was simple and peaceful. Absolutely the best home I've ever had. Modern life is too complicated.
I know families can be challenging. I'm spending my last Thanksgiving with my sister who is on hospice care. I'd recommend doing your best to not let the old triggers or grievances ruin an opportunity to really connect with your family. Make it the best Thanksgiving ever.

I agree. Get involved locally to both find your people, your true purpose and to find your joy! Greed and complete self focus is what’s gotten us to where we are today. I believe in self care! Taking care of yourself is very important! But not to the complete detriment of society and community.

basically, when someone you love dies, it isn’t just them that you miss, but the parts of yourself that person brought out of you that can never be brought out again.
