The good news about a crash is it'll be nice for the kids to be able to get in cheap on the money-go-up carnival ride for the retirements they'll never be able to take

OK, the world need to slow down a minute and let me catch up on deleting my junk email and closing all these open browser tabs. I hate when there's too many tabs. The icons get real small.

See that guy next to you? You smell exactly like him. His mustache is your mustache. Your brain is his brain. When you walk through a door, he will try to walk through it at exactly the same time. You are not Larry, Curly, and Moe. You are all uhhh... Larry. Or Curly. Was he the biggest one? Yeah

omg I want a fly on the wall video of the part where someone suggests, "What if they're playing soccer?" :D (love it, btw)

Hi, hope a question's OK -- my standard poodle's plasma cell tumor was almost big enough to interfere w/ eating. A couple of bad bleeds had us almost at euthanasia. Then it spontaneously switched from growing fast to shrinking fast. What's happening? (I'll ask her vet, too)

#veterinarians - An extramedullary plasma cell tumor (biopsy report), almost completely excised on 3/20, grew back large enough to bleed w/ toy-chewing and then rapidly reduced in size (see photos: left-to-right, taken 10/12, 10/11, and 10/10.

My personal dog.
How optimistic should I be?

<sigh> yeah, saying "good job ceasing fire" counts as positive reinforcement. Beyond that? Support means help, helping broker a real chance for peace if we can, not helping perpetrate further human rights violations.

that makes food happen around here. He hits my hand when I put food in a bowl for him now. When he puts the paw together with this feeder, I think he'll get good at all the various puzzles we have, fast.

I love watching brains doing problem-solving!
dawookie.bsky.social
step 1: teach Kirei this interactive feeder is a food bowl (easy)

step 2: teach him to get harder to reach kibbles by moving them with his paw.

From watching other cats use these feeders, he already knows there's something about paws... 1/

I have that game but haven't played yet and I like your chair! (demonstrating totally normal level of social skills) .. also I can't, I have so many litter boxes to clean, which is not a weird way of saying I'm washing my hair; it's just true (humble-brag/procrastination)

Wanting to change the lyrics from "This land your land, this land is my land" to "these kids are our kids." Matthew was America's, but so were his killers. What world do we want for future kids? A safer one, I hope (🌎🇺🇲🏳️‍🌈🚸♾️❤️)

On this date, Matthew Shephard died 27 years ago. He was beaten, tortured, and left for dead on fence for being gay. Please keep him and his wonderful mother Judy in your thoughts. And let's all work for a world where such horrific things do not happen to anyone. ❤️🏳️‍🌈

nope nope nope, all the best and brightest will coalesce around a brilliant new future. #BetterDems ok, fine, no promises about outcomes but! I will be relentless. I've been training my whole life to better herd cats and this *is* a herding cats scenario. Just topping up my people skills first.

I can’t wait until 2028 when democrats are back in charge and we take all of this unchecked, wildly expansive power that SCOTUS has given the president and do absolutely nothing with it.

whoops, slow on the draw re: release video but if you don't know Aubrey, when she claims she's charming IRL, it's an understatement. So talented you wanna hate her but that's just silly. Get her book and get ready to point your rage in the very most appropriate directions!

after millions of views and shares of my Portland Frog art. (thank you all🙏🏾) I got requests to highlight priests, and chickens, and Chicagoans, and T-Rexes, and more… all of us who refuse to bend the knee. so this is for US.

#BetterDems We won't get grown-up politics for grown-ups until we learn to explain complicated issues in entertaining & thoughtful ways. Take notes! Or outsource to influencers who already have audience-vibe-matching storytelling skills. Use paid roles + volunteers to rebrand the Democratic Party

Ultimately, the death of US manufacturing is about this attitude. It's easy to say "buy american or stfu" because virtue signaling is free. But it's hard to actually sustain a business because many Americans simply don't want to pay what it costs to produce things ethically in this country
Someone on Twitter replies to me: "meh. buy american or stfu."

Two hours later, in a separate thread, the write: "$30 for a single button-up is ridiculous unless it is decent quality silk."

Planning to say to my husband, "Number 2, sweep the fridge for signs of life! I think some of our resident vegetables are starting to spawn." Because 1. #nerds 2. he does the cooking so he needs to know what to shop for when he shops without asking what I've thrown away (he's independent like that)

Hell yeah, get those pets! I prefer a gentle pat or sustained eye contact but I'm over-generous with my affection. I've got one furry tortie that demands pets via hair pulling (like, MY hair when I'm half-asleep in bed). To do: retrain that to something less violent. They're all perfect, tho 💗

When I was a kid, I was so anti-pink. I was so angry at so many perfect sunsets :) But it was just resistance to misogyny. Pink's awesome. And this is a beautiful catch 💗

he'll realize he's not destined for bad years & prioritize other fun skills. Or not, he's getting old. The jumping off the counter part's not ideal so the plan is to *never* leave food in the sink strainer (removing pos. reinforcement). Neg. punishment requires training my husband first, tho

means. For example, Jethro responds to polite requests to "get off the kitchen counter," with no fuss, just the huff when he's back on the floor. It means, "Why aren't you letting me practice this valuable skill that kept me alive through the bad year?" Someday the trust will be high enough... 2/3
