I think I’m just looking for acceptance and community.
If personal hells exist, mine would just be living in Disney dreamlight valley.

Perception can align with reality and we can misperceive reality.

There is something to be said about how our perceptions shape reality through actions and systems, but misperception alone just means we are wrong about reality.

When we act in misperceptions, we can sew them amongst reality.

Perception is what you perceive reality to be, not reality itself. It’s subjective reality vs objective reality.

Perceiving Tylenol causes autism doesn’t mean its reality.

Perceiving people different than you as inferior to you doesn’t mean its reality.

Reality is larger than perception.

“Perception is reality”

Over 15 years ago I heard someone say this over and over again to my dad (elder at the time) on the phone about a church disagreement.

I blame this belief for many of the problems in our society today.

Perception is NOT reality.

It is what they treat as reality.

Spotify is now running ICE recruitment advertisements.
Update: we gave it to the leasing office who’s going to return it. Very short quest.
At work we’ve completely stopped using VMware because of all the Broadcom’s changes. We used to sell the licenses for all the sever work we did for our clients. The message has been loud and clear, “if you aren’t a large client we don’t want your money.”

I second this. Sure there are situations and environments where it’s best to filter, but as someone who uses profanity like he’s making up for lost time (spoiler: I am), and doesn’t curse around his parents, it’s definitely true that you are missing out on a piece of me if I don’t curse around you.
Fun fact: If I don’t cuss around you, you’re not getting my most authentic self. It’s not bc I think cussing itself is essential but bc I believe in using the full range of my vocabulary in speech. Sometimes I need to be emphatic or colloquial and that means using a word some think is profane.
Tweet sharing “Cursing is rarely a symbol of low class.
It's often a mark of high authenticity.
Evidence: Swearing predicts higher rates of honesty and integrity. It signals a willingness to prize candor over courtesy.
A little profanity shows that you're being real and you do give a damn.”
I read this as “fight fascism with fully rely on god” 💀
@abigailspanberger.com, if elected, what are you going to do about Virginia receiving abducted children being trafficked by the federal government?
ICE kidnapped a 7th-grader with a pending asylum claim and spirited him out of state without notifying his parents, seemingly with the cooperation of the local police in Everett, MA.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.
Yall have got to stop telling people that it won’t last forever right after you say people understand what you are going through.

Unless you’ve been perpetually depressed for 30 years with no relief how can you possibly say you know what they are going through or that it’s going to end?
