Just so we're clear, one incident of alleged anti-semitism by a musician = a major national scandal that should be roundly condemned.

Multiple incidents of alleged anti-semitism from the man leading the race to run the country = a load of nothing that should be completely ignored

The self denial is very real here from the Daily Fail!
Amazing, the @dailymail.co.uk manages to publish an entire lengthy feature bewailing (!!!!) the exodus of Poles from Britain without once mentioning Brexit. Apparently this outcome (which is surely exactly what they campaigned for in 2016) is all the fault of Keir Starmer.

The great exodus: How Poles are ditching UK for their booming homeland
New statistics reveal that while 7,000 Poles arrived in the year ending last June, 25,000 returned home: a net outflow of 18,000. The UK's total Polish population has shrunk to 750,000.

Interesting decision by the Telegraph to use inverted commas for the word heroic when describing the brave actions of Samir Zitoumi during the Huntingdon attack.
I wonder why that would be?

Even for Allison Pearson and the Telegraph, this is abhorrent.

What we are seeing is an attempt to normalize language that would have been deemed unacceptable not even 15 years ago. It’s a slippery slope that should worry us all.

Fewer than 2% of UK TV adverts feature only Black or only Asian people in the cast; the overwhelming majority of ads with ethnic minority presence have mixed or cross ethnicity groups.

Just shameful.

This is Labour's response to an overt racist statement from Tory MP and shadow minister Katie Lam.

This is why so many are turning away from Labour - they no longer share our values.

They can't even call out a racist statement. They just equivocate.

Apropos of nothing, I really do think UK journalists and politicians need some reminding that mass deportation of LEGAL immigrants, particularly those with permanent status, is far more extreme than even Trump's America and would basically place Britain completely on its own among democracies.

Totally agree. I dread to think of the insidious uses of our personal data this could lead to. The risks to all of us are too great.
One of the unexpected things I've learned from my advocacy for trans people is how malignant parts of the State can be, how it can misuse data for positively evil purposes. It's taught me people can't be safe with a digital ID card and so I've signed this. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/73...
Petition: Do not introduce Digital ID cards
We demand that the UK Government immediately commits to not introducing a digital ID cards. There are reports that this is being looked at.

Utterly reprehensible and the consequences of this madness being followed and believed could be devastating.
Asked Reform about whether it can possibly be appropriate to have a doctor spreading misinformation about vaccines and the Royal Family speaking from their conference stage. Their representative didn’t resile from it. A bit of our exchange below.
