There's absolutely no restrictions on what goes into an illegal landfill which means no control on what seeps out of them into water, soil + air. We've heard reports of substances like asbestos at illegal sites, others of waste burning + acrid smoke.

Wouldn't it have been so much simpler to double the council tax for ppl in bands G and H ?
At the same time announce a review of how the council tax should be updated to take account of 2026 house valuations rather than valuations of 30+ years ago.

The results of three major bus priority schemes for Birmingham are in, soliciting 72%, 67% and 89% overall scheme support. 🥳
Many opposing were doing so because of bus unreliability, so misunderstood the point of the scheme, therefore support is likely to be even greater than the given percentages.
