AKA Steven E. McDonald, writer. Musician, writer, poet mentored by Michael Harnett, mostly alone, tired and now here. Dismayed at watching the country that fought fascism to an end bowing down to fascism at home.

Yeah. Hopefully it'll change course at the usual point, but if it does it'll just jink north-west. If it's cat 5 by then it might not move, or move enough.

Could be very bad. I guess I should keep an eye on the live cams again.
Sierra Vista, which leans red, had a pretty good showing.

Haven't heard if Tombstone had anybody out. That one's been Trump country for a bit.
Definitely better than Bisbee, AZ, a blue dot in Cochise County. 100+ of a ~4900 population. However, a couple of points...they went out on the 17th, not the 18th, due to a big annual event (the Stair Climb) and it's hard to go bigger because Old Bisbee is compressed and not roomy. 1/2
This sort of response needs to be thrown in the faces of the live maggots (bots and troll farmers aren't worth the effort.)

Also point out that Fuckwit Mussolini keeps posting shite that depicts him as a king...one that pours shit over Americans.

These fools are epically bad at gaslighting.
Yes! I see this comment over and over again, well, ...if he was a King, ...he wouldn’t let you protest. What do you think he’s aiming for genius? Pressuring law firms, universities, the press, charging his political opponents, apparently Americans are not just bad with history, they suck at math.
Good deal for some lucky person!

As do I! Highly tempted to join the party. Next opportunity, perhaps.
According to a local friend around a hundred showed up at Grassy Knoll, including several in inflatable animal costumes. Also one sign with a Frog Resistance image.

Pictures only seen in a locked post so far, but I imagine some will show up in public groups.
Take Netanyahu as the leading example of that.

Duterte, too, except he got nailed.
No idea how it went as I was out of town at the time. I haven't seen pics of Facebook thus far -- but there's pictures of the flamboyance of plastic flamingos installed on the traffic circle. 😆
3pm, apparently. There's some local grumbling about missing the point.
You know, I don't know! It was supposed to be at Grassy Park, but around noon there didn't seem to be anybody there. I'll take a look in the Bisbee groups on Facebook.
I love my people.
Ireland is taking its cue from Australia by banning Candace Owens for eternity. “We haven’t had snakes here in thousands of years - why invite one in.”
Bisbee, staying weird, isn't doing No Kings on the 18th but on the 17th as the Bisbee 1000 Stair Climb takes over the crumbling hills of Old Bisbee on the 18th.

I think climbers should carry No Kings signs, frankly.
Not to mention identity theft on an unprecedented scale, and catastrophic levels of fraud.
I've known Sandy for over fifty years. I nearly married her former roommate before the universe knocked sense into me.
...and two movies, including the grotesquely awful WILD WILD WEST (by accident, I note) and the silly MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2.

But the Twilight Zone part is my oldest friend Sandy ending up in the hospital with a heart attack. She texted me from there post-catheterization, just before the dive. 2/2
I'm in an odd mental space. Not sure which setup will be used on Saturday, my birthday is tomorrow (and as always, no gifts as such -- gift cards etc are welcome, though, as I need new bits and pieces), I'm up to three dives in the Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber... 1/2
I live in Bisbee, AZ. One of the first things people here do for newcomers is tell them to get a good high end water filter because the area is loaded with arsenic. The tap water is also super hard, possibly even more so than Tucson tap water.
It means eating an awful lot of beans and peas. And with the former, suffering the side effects. I can get most of the way to my daily goal just with Muscle Milk, actual milk, and ground nuts.
I'm not going to say it until I have a formal diagnosis and I frankly expect that to rule it out. I'm ADHD and bipolar as it is and I've endured being told I'm borderline (I'm not, but got gaslighted for a time by my ex, who should know better.)
Stealthy gravity anchors, they.
That's a thought. It's frustrating that I can't take a book in, or anything to write with. Understandable, though, given the high pressure oxygen environment.
I noticed that among the viewing selections was "Babylon 5". I was heard to hiss and my hair briefly smoldered.
