DOCTOR WHO - THE VAMPIRE PLANTS AND OTHER STORIES!
"You made 'em laugh, you made 'em cry, you made us feel like we could fly".
Bold. Brilliant. Unapologetically himself. If you’ve ever rocked out pretending you’re Freddie, today’s the day to own it! The greatest of all time.
Happy birthday Freddie, we still love you. X @oiqfc.bsky.social
Thank ypu for confirming this, much appreciated. There's not much I bother watching on linear tv these days but a Gatiss ghost story on Christmas Eve really makes it something to look forward to. Last year's was fantastic.
Is there another colourized Classic Doctor Who this Christmas or a new Mark Gatiss ghost story?
Definitely Survivors, Blakes 7, Bless This House, And Mother Makes Three and 1970s Blue Peter 😉
Watching classic Doctor Who on a Sunday always gives me 1990s UKGold vibes. All that's missing is life insurance adverts starring Frank Windsor and trailers for Bless This House and It Ain't Half Hot Mum.

We recently lost Ray Brooks - the voice of Mr Benn and the boy with The Knack - at the age of 86. By way of remembrance, we're sharing our 2021 piece looking at Cathy Come Home, the groundbreaking teleplay which starred Carol White and Ray Brooks.

This is something I very much agree with.
Christopher Eccleston was a better Doctor than David Tennant.
What #DoctorWho opinion of yours causes this?

Well that's my first Blueskyer blocked then.
The more I have gotten to know Freddie's friends, the more stories I have heard, the more I love him.
I'm not for one minute putting this on the same level as the abuse that any gay person has received but the homophobic jibes I got at college the day Freddie died was disgusting. I'm a straight guy but to this day, I absolutely idolise Freddie...
I remember very well the homophobia the other acts faced in the 80s. The Communards played an AIDS benefit in my hometown circa '87 and the letters page in the local rag the following week was horrific...
I'm not falling out mate but I don't think it can be stated as fact that Freddie was in the closet in 1985, that simply isn't true. Also, it's a disservice to Geldof who was good mates with Roger Taylor and Spike Edney, so obviously would have known....
