The concept of a federal job guarantee (FJG) only makes sense to me if paired with universal basic services (UBS). When there is a downturn, unemployment goes up and, consequently, more people are in need of basic services. The FJG would then kick in and provide employment in the department of UBS.

7. When Eliason re-ran the numbers correctly, the trend line flipped entirely, showing that the share of students identifying as neither male nor female had increased, not decreased. Kaufmann’s analysis, in other words, didn’t reveal a cultural shift—it revealed statistical malpractice.

6. Data scientist Jacob Eliason was the first to spot it: Kaufmann had run his analysis using the raw survey responses rather than applying the weighting provided by FIRE. Without weighting, the data dramatically misrepresented the population—and created the illusion of a drop where none existed.

4. On Tuesday, Kaufmann posted a Twitter thread declaring that “trans identification is in free fall among the young.” The graph he used to prove it, however, was fundamentally flawed—it showed students who identified as “neither male nor female,” a category that excludes most trans men and women.

3. It turns out Kaufmann’s conclusion is based on a massive statistical error. When corrected, the numbers show the opposite of what he claimed: transgender and nonbinary identification in America has risen over the last two years as more people come out than ever before.

Matt Walsh and Elon Musk celebrated it as a victory over "transgenderism."

Turns out, the entire graph is based on an egregious math and statistics error.

We learned US and European history, yeah. And then in college, I studied other areas of history, like Nigerian and Pakistani history among others. On my own, I've focused on indigenous American history. To be honest, Australia hasn't been very relevant to my life or interests.

As we get more reports of ICE thugs detaining Americans, it should be noted that Timothy Snyder made it crystal clear from the onset of ICE raids that NO ONE would be safe.

People tell ICE: "I'm an American." They illegally detain us anyway.

Bc WE already let them erode due process for immigrants.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

The official government account for DHS appears to be run by far-right trolls deliberately trying to provoke a response by using a term openly associated with ethnic cleansing. They will attack anyone who points this out and express faux outrage at the suggestion. They know what they are doing.
