Why am I reading social media when I could be reading books instead?
It's a lot easier to measure that AI was used than that AI was useful.

Can your Ai model pass the Toto Test?

Ask Something
Get a response
Tell the model it's not right

If the initial response is correct, a model capable of knowing should insist that the answer is right.

And if it just makes new stuff up, you have no guarantee that the first answer wasn't made up.

Personally I think this sounds like a reasonable state with rational motives for its actions that can be expected to abide by a ceasefire and cooperate with us in exchange for some good-faith concessions, just like John Mearsheimer says

To survive on the battlefield today, especially under constant FPV drone threat, troops need to be 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱.
That means fortified, concealed positions—and those can’t be dug by hand.
Not at scale. Not fast enough.

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me about a time their bosses responded in a technical conversation by copy pasting LLM output I'd have three nickles, which is not a lot, but it's weird that it has happened three times.

And I’m not naming any names

But SOME of the people here are insane in a way I consider to be art.

The skill they say you need in the age of AI: Using AI to get answers

The skill you actually need: Telling the people that used AI to get answers that they're wrong without offending them.

Star Trek is so optimistic. People have holodecks and then they leave them and go do their jobs and live their lives and explore the stars.

Meanwhile in 2025 we’ve got AI psychosis.
