Hey I wrote a story about how the “benefit” fights of the early American boxing scene show that it’s not just the UFC but rather the fight game itself that has no problem sending you out on a stretcher in your own retirement fight. sports.yahoo.com/mma/article/...
A brief history of the 'retirement fight' — and why, as one UFC vet put it, you might leave 'on a stretcher'
UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier is in search of a retirement fight, but in the fight game there's a long history of tough exits for aging greats.

For the Atlantic, I wrote about people saying "oneshotted" online — the place it's least likely to happen to you. www.theatlantic.com/culture/arch...
Why Is Everyone Talking About Getting ‘Oneshotted’?
A slang term for the extremely online also serves as a weird mirror of the internet experience.

The word "Trump" does not appear anywhere in the substack this tweet quotes. Krugman says why he left, and it has nothing to do with Trump at all. This claim is horseshit.
The new York times wanted Trump to win the election and Paul Krugman did not want Trump to win the election and so Paul Krugman no longer works there
“I felt that my byline was being used to create a storyline that was no longer mine. So I left.”

What is a “legal opinion”? Says Trump’s “legal opinion” is that birthright citizenship is unconstitutional
