there's this review on letterboxd i saw years and years ago, where someone likes the movie HOUSE mostly but is disappointed that a movie named HORSE doesn't have any scenes with horses in them. almost all of the replies are people who are furious about the fact that there is actually a scene with someone on a horse in HOUSE. so i made this

His thoughts appear over a montage of different panels, and read: "[To heighten the craft of a story] ...is to purify by straining. To observe one's own self, and hone one's skill. He then thinks back to Akane saying to herself "At last... I've become... only rakugo." A two-page spread from chapter 17 of Harukaze Mound. Kengo swings his bat, a dark trail following its arc. He smashes the baseball clear, and reaches second base as his teammates cheer. Narration over the panels reads "But... this boy has come alive." A page from chapter 5 of Someone Hertz. Kurage says "Mimei, let's go buy a radio." Mimei says "Huh?", and Kurage replies "Lemme see you jump for a sec." Mimei jumps, making the cash in his pockets jingle. He pulls it out and says "Oh. It's the pay I got from Ms. Nacchi..." Kurage looks at it and says "Mm-hmm. Okay, okay.", to which Mimei replies "You didn't have to shake me down like a thug, you know." A page from chapter 97 of Kagurabachi. The top panel shows Azami's injured hand, with his thoughts written above. They read: "The muscles and bones of both my arms are shredded. The Shinuchi's powers are ridiculous. Unfortunately, that really limits what I can do. Pretty soon it'll probably get worse too. But even so..." The bottom panel shows Azami clenching his fists, his eyes wild with bloodlust. He says "I can still hit you."
