It’s an anime series about a Japanese spirit who partners with a European vampire (that walked across the ocean floor to “Conquer Asia” because he got bored one day) protecting Tokyo from demons. Kinda a light action romance with sort of a castlevania vibe

I think they would just be like Nope. We're exactly the sort of species that would nuke our own homeworld and then stand on top the ashes of our own civilization with a mission accomplished flag.

Also I don't think we have a lot of resources compared to the asteroid belts, except people.
