80-90% of sexual assault against minors is done by parents or other people in positions of power, cops, teachers and politicians

internet crimes only make up a small percentage but no one ever mentions that weirdly enough, Its as if this is a scare tactic meant to trick people out of there rights
Children are being exploited and abused because Big Tech consistently prioritizes profits over people.

Enough is enough. Time to sunset Section 230.

A federal judge has blocked an age-verification mandate for social media in Louisiana, ruling that the same content can be accessed on unregulated sites, that it chills a huge amount of speech and that tools already exist for parents to block use.

You know, the same arguments FSC made in Paxton.

Traffic to UK porn sites has dropped 77% since age-verification went live.

UK legislator celebrates, saying she's "very pleased" with the drop, calling it a "green shoot."

I don't know how they can make it any clearer that they view AV as a tool to police adult sexuality.

Organize accordingly.

Today, I also come bearing notes from the Judiciary Committee hearing on "online child safety."

+ THE GOOD:
- No vote on any legislation.
- Anger on KOSA in the House being defanged.
- A few new bills, two of them seem ok:
+ the (ECHO) Act
+ the Stop Sextortion Act

Alright panic over now. They’ve introduced this bill before and it’s died in subcommittee.

Also this didn’t happen today, it’s just getting attention now. It actually happened like 2-3 days ago. Read this thread if you want to know more.

Everyone needs to get the fuck to their phones right now and demand they stop this. Repealing 230 will destroy the internet as we know it. Platforms will be completely liable for what users post which will likely lead to all kinda of user content being eliminated, including comments

KOSA passed out of the subcommittee in the House on 13-10 vote. Meaning that they are FINALLY listening to some opposition. But not enough to prevent the other age verification bills from passing, let alone this.

They MUST listen to opposition. Losing this fight is NOT an option.
