I feel a lot of context clues are missing if you didn't read the original comic. Even the soft reboot comic which looks closer to the style of the final show and is non-canon for all intents and purposes feels like the original 3 chapters are required reading to understand what is going on.

The origin of how Loki and Bianca met I think is one of the major elements of the story that's missing in the pilot. Which while yes helps audiences see who these characters would act during the show itself as their dynamic is established I think leaves more questions as to why Loki is so special.

A contrast to how Bianca is lacks self awareness in the comic and stands up for those who are like her like Stephany.

There are a lot of parts of the comic I dislike but for the most part I had fun with the comic and it's characterizations more than the pilot. Bianca in the comic feels more like an asshole who's too confident while the Pilot makes her more self conscious about herself and her art.

The humor is another thing the pilot is missing that the comic had but it still has a shred of that left in with certain jokes but the edge the original comic had is just something I think isn't possible now with the new direction the series has.

After rereading the comic with a friend I feel the Loki IRL comic helps establish the world better than the Pilot does but the Pilot helps establish the characters and motivations. The pilot ignores everything about Loki not being Bianca's IRL which for a pilot I feel is a weird choice to make.

Trying to find out where the money goes and all it says on the website afaik is that it goes to producing bigger and better shows. Does it go to the creators and people behind these bigger and better shows or not?

Glitch owning the full rights to TADC and Murder Drones and all their other shows doesn't effect their status as Indie but the concept of creator owned animation is kind of lost when Glitch are the real owners of the properties and the creators and animators are only paid during the production.
crockettdk.newgrounds.com
This in effect made characters like Bloodsucker ineligible to be made into merch or be reprinted in compilations of the old comics because his creator, Rick Vietch, owns the rights to the character.
crockettdk.newgrounds.com
So since Glitch owns the full rights to shows like Murder Drones and TADC and not the creators I ask, how is this any different than the actual animation industry. When Mirage Comics licensed toys of characters made by other creators outside of Eastman and Laird their creators were paid royalties.

Any money these companies get from using other creators IP goes to the rights holder and them alone. Part of the money spent on SpongeBob’s merch goes to Stephen Hillenburg’s estate but most other creators get nothing from these shows.
crockettdk.newgrounds.com
I know Glitch gets most of their funding from Merch like Helluva Boss does but what makes Glitch any less like say Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon when it comes to merch sales? None of the money that’s spent on Avatar Merch goes to the people behind he show, they only get paid for the show itself.
