I tried that with my wife once, she looked at me like she was watching someone having a stroke.

“Haven’t you ever seen Kingswood Country?”

“No, I was busy getting an education!”

I had no response to that.

He's like a child discarding a toy in favour of a newer one and then throwing a tantrum when another kid tries to play with the one he threw away.

As far as he's concerned left wing politics is his and his alone, even though he's moved so far to the right progressive policies are now foreign to him

They didn't reduce crime, they out competed it.
Three men walk into a bar. The barman says “I really need to move that before somebody gets hurt”.

This is exactly what is wrong with governments these days. They're more interested in what their donors have to say than the voters who put them there.

And if you dare point this out to them they treat you like you're a child who has the temerity to question the adults in the room.
They'll start wars first, rally around the flag and all that. It will eventually end as you say it will but a lot of people are going to die first and they won't all be American.
People who own their own homes should be reasonably ok, those without or a large mortgage will be in trouble.

But that's okay because they will be able to get jobs in the military which will be needed for the "Liberation" of South America starting with oil... sorry I meant Venezuela.
So he believed the people he tried to wine and dine at Camp David for peace talks could have been beaten?
Have you tried turning him off and back on again?
Desperately trying to hold onto a dream that the Australian voters have roundly rejected.
"Sure we could make sure we go paid for all the resources multinationals pull out of our ground and ship overseas, it would mean that we could afford to fund things like the NDIS, welfare increases and Gonski. But wouldn't it be much easier for our donors if we just screwed over the voters?"
Freedom of speech means we have to respect his right to be an absolute pillock.
