I'm a washed up roleplayer nerd who do mildly interesting, educational things in VR, RP, DnD to escape reality from my engineering day job. I also post about urbanism, science, skepticism, space & content creation.

I'm begging any artists still using Twitter claiming it's integral to their work to just leave. It's been revealed the site works off a made up "credit score" from hell and punishes you for posting like a normal human being.

Abandon Twitter for good. It's time. It's been time.
A quoted tweet from a user named Sam that reads: "How Twitter is rigged Type in all caps because you're excited? Lowers your reputation. Include links? Your score goes down. It's like the Credit Score system from Hell. And given Cisgender is treated as a slur & MAGA boosted, you can guess what's categorized as 'offensive'" The tweet they quoted is from user SADIQ and reads: "Tweepcred is X's reputation system Based on your behavior, you get a tweepcred score It determines your reach Break the algo rules, you score goes down and your reach disappears What are the rules of the X algo tho? Glad you asked." SADIQ includes a photo of Twitter's algorithm code that calculates a user's reputation. SADIQ continues: "Post 'offensive text'? 80% reach reduction Offensive username? 80% reach reduction All caps tweet? That's seen as 'shouting. Major penalization. Include links? Yup, penalized"

An example of violence on a cosmic scale, enormous elliptical galaxy NGC 1316 lies about 75 million light-years away toward Fornax, the southern constellation of the Furnace. Investigating the startling sight, astronomers suspect the giant galaxy of colliding with smaller neighbor NGC 1317 seen just right of the large galaxy's center, producing far flung star streams in loops and shells. Light from their close encounter would have reached Earth some 100 million years ago. In the sharp telescopic image, the central regions of NGC 1316 and NGC 1317 appear separated by over 100,000 light-years.Complex dust lanes visible within also indicate that NGC 1316 is itself the result of a merger of galaxies in the distant past. Found on the outskirts of the Fornax galaxy cluster, NGC 1316 is known as Fornax A. One of the visually brightest of the Fornax cluster galaxies it is one of the strongest and largest celestial radio sources with radio emission extending well beyond this one degree wide field-of-view.

She points her finger at her AI Parrot. > Gothic Sorceress: "Headmaster, I'm requesting to opt out of the Avian Intelligence program!" Panel 2. Shot on the desk of the Headmaster, an old wizard and his AI parrot, perched. He is deeply busy and his attention is fully absorbed on his paperwork, probably signing administrative stuff, giving a minimal attention to her. > Headmaster: "Not an option. Our investors say it's the future of magic." Panel 3. The Headmaster gestures grandly at a portal nearby him, while adjusting his glasses. The circular view into another dimension reveals a distorted, broken wonderland. Twisted trees shaped like cartoon elephant, architectures of towers with faces, and weird creatures with big nose, moustache, the body of fish and long leg ending by three fingers. The atmosphere is both fascinating and deeply unsettling. > Headmaster: "See? With mine I created this world in minutes. Not perfect, lots of small bugs, but it works... mostly." She is skeptical with her hands on her hips, while the Headmaster seems tries to justify himself while thinking about it, the hand twisting a bit of beard on his chin. > Gothic Sorceress: "It's ugly and broken." > Headmaster: ""Vibe spelling", I call it.".
