Just a little disappointed they didn’t hide out in Tonganoxie at the old chicken fight barn just past the Hummelgaard sign.
I wrote a book this year called Undead, Kansas. It’s about zombies invading #LFK and De Soto and Olathe. I skipped right over Eudora and I’m fine with that.

Was late to the family FaceTime because the meringue burned to black and I had to open all the windows in the house and turn on all the air filters. I actually put it in the oven to brown the top, walked away and forgot because you cannot expect me to pay attention for a full 60 seconds.

I know people get divorced and sometimes divorces are not amicable, but I just read the last letter spouse’s birth father wrote to him 80 years ago before signing away parental rights (to clear way for adoption by stepdad) and that was the saddest thing I ever read.

Dept. of Ed is reclassifying all the female dominated professions (nurse, therapist, speech pathologist, PA) as not having “professional” degrees, which makes it harder for them to get educational loans.
Another FUCKED UP thing this admin is doing to attack women’s power.

HOA used to employ its own manager, engineer, front desk and custodial staff. The association decided to switch to a management company which now will employ all the workers. So HOA dues go up 10%, worker pay down 20%. Our people are so awesome but now going to quit or retire. Totally sucks

Just heard the most horrific birth story ever from a new mom friend, and the way women are not listened to is this country is causing injury and death to moms and babies both. This one had a happy ending but that was in spite of the lack of proper care.

Still working on archiving my MIL’s papers. This was written by her brother in 1935 (height of Depression). He had left OKC for Spokane as a teen to live with his dad after their parents divorced. Glad I can read cursive!
