I was absolutely exhausted by it at first but over the course of two sleepless nights playing it I've somehow clicked with it. It's gone from a 4/10 to a "4/10, but hear me out".

I've been playing Germs: Nerawareta Machi the last couple days (wow, I'm actually playing one of those fan translations I get so excited over!) and I have no idea how an itchio horror game managed to time travel back to the 90s and end up on the PS1. This is the fakest game anyone has ever made.

Bumping this up as I've only gotten one so far (thank you to that person tho!) This goes directly to bills (including internet, website hosting & domain name renewals, car registration, gas, the two years of remaining payments on our electric rewire, etc) so again, any help is greatly appreciated!

I think about this kind of thing constantly, and definitely lie in the "read/play all versions" of the third group. I feel like people want to see art as singular, concrete works, and reject their fluidity in culture. I've even seen people reject translations at all!

- In-battle subs code has been rewritten to display code in chat log style; no more disappearing subtitles.
- Geyorkias's subtitles now correctly map to the correct voice lines.
- Various typo and consistency fixes.
