Re: the futility of the nitpicking, it's like watching Mista chase after and jump onto the truck in the Kraftwerk fight. You're like, "Mista, just shoot the tires!" But would the fight be as interesting if he'd done that? No.

I know that nitpicking VA is an exercise in futility, but I think once the gang saw Pericolo off himself after passing on information that would lead to the boss, everyone should have taken a moment to think, "Hm, this does not bode well for us, who are relative small-fry in this organization."

Would framing the choice as "Betrayal might get you killed, but loyalty definitely will" undercut the story's weight and themes? Yeah. However.

I really like the bit in VA where body-swapped Trish hugs "Narancia" (actually Giorno in Narancia’s body) for comfort and Giorno is simply paralyzed by it. Completely out of his depth. It's great.
