for a long time I thought 'dispose' was intended to mean 'predispose', like a calvinist god would. then for a while I was reading it as 'discard', like god just let's the bear get you anyway. now I'm boring and read it as 'settling the matter'

what bias is it when modern dechipherers of egyptian and aztec glyphs want to read the naturalistic elements as nothing but pictograms. best i got so far is caveman romanticism
