Quote this with the first four Horror movies that come to your mind that are 10/10s for you. No cheating. Just the first four that pop into your head.

I'll go first:

Argh it never ever stops. Looks like they used Joanna Lumley and AI'd her face, and maybe Harry Hamlin?
So a company built on art by human beings - Disney - who have bought & profited from another company built on art by human beings - Marvel - can't be arsed employing actual human beings anymore?

Someone tell me Disney didn't just use a bunch of fucking AI slop for the new Wonder Man show

That picture of you in thumbnail on my phone looks like Ross Kemp and I have a microsecond of wondering if I follow Ross Kemp and if so why and then I realise

RIP Diane Keaton, a genuinely important actress who was also a movie star & interesting filmmaker. Aside from the brilliance of her work with Woody Allen, so great in THE GODFATHER, REDS and LOOKING FOR MR GOODBAR. Then a second career in 2000s rom-coms, where you believed Keanu would fall for her.

I absolutely love the ‘60s issues of Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD after Steranko left, when a series of other artists tried to “do” Steranko to varying effect. Here we have Frank Springer X 2, Herb Trimpe and a young Barry Windsor Smith.

My favourite moment from
Fraction & Jimenez’s Batman so far.

I've just been blown away by what is maybe the Irish equivalent of Dick Van Dyke's epically terrible cockney accent in MARY POPPINS. Brando in Michael Winner's execrable THE NIGHTCOMERS. Every syllable lilted from the a crock of gold at the end of a rainbow. Ouch.

Ah Three O'Clock High, State of Grace - such early promise.

Phil Joanou was still an interesting director back then - stylish & technically strong - and it’s lush & beautiful & a decent bit of Hitchcockery. He used Roberts and his weird charisma nicely here and in HEAVENS PRISONERS too. Most middling ‘90s thrillers seem so mature and well-made these days.

It’s VERRRRY different but I also like Phil Joanou’s Robicheaux adaptation, Heavens Prisoners, which is schlocky but entertaining. Really beautifully shot, Alex Baldwin is good as Dave & it is likewise very atmospheric.
