John & 🌈 Gotti, getting irritated and acerbic. We cook with chillies, tinker with electronics, listen to music and The Golden Age of Radio. ♏️

Fan done. Bedroom and living room fans both need cleaning, but I’ll leave that joy till next week.

Achy from bending over fan innards now.

A Welsh ear worm today, “Help Yourself to My Lips”. I won’t be throwing my panties on the stage. 😅

And are there any efforts underway to prosecute Charles Exum, the lying, murderous psychopath who shot her 5 times for no reason? Any at all? No? Oh weird

I *intend* to replace the kitchen fan motor today with that upgraded one I bought last month.

I’m pretty sure this new one uses a different colour code for the speed winding connections. So that should be fun, figuring it out.

Oh well, no one promised that the thing with the wires would be easy.

Radio 4 in orgasms over yet another Jane Austin production. They live in a goddamn echo chamber, most of the country just sighs and wonders how they can ditch the BBC licence.

Listening to “The Shadow”, this is a show I’ve never been able to make head nor tail of. I think you need a stronger imagination than mine, to make it hang together.

2 phone calls yesterday! That was traumatic. I love the new Apple call screening though. Reduces my anxiety enormously.

Nothing from the GP though, seems they are just ignoring my request for a repeat scrip of steroid cream.

Ffs! It was they who started me on it without any exam. I hate them.

Morning!

Weird night. Missed about 3 long chapters of my audiobook. I’ll have to go back.

Woke early. Seen Renard and Sundance. Lyn is away, and Jenni doing the feeding, strangely I see Max, Milo, and Philomena less. I make no judgement.

Wonder if Amaz will do a snap delivery today?

Firecat turned up this afternoon too, cleaned the bowl. Very hungry kitty. His / Hers (prob a tom, but ginger queens aren’t as rare as they make out) coat looks matted and could do with a good brush/ even a clip. Some Persian blood there, looking at that face.

Wishing you a lovely weekend with your Sue-lits, in case I forget later. xx

Started a bread. AM and Milo turned up for lunch. Separated them, not that they fight, or even look cross, it just seems to stall both their thought processes. Just sit and look vague.

Lyn says they growl at each other on her porch, perhaps because it’s Milo’s territory, perhaps just Lyn.

Finishing off the cannelloni for breakfast. I’ll find something else this evening. Still got half the bolognaise left, so perhaps I’ll find something to do with that.

Plumbers currently discussing when they stopped believing in Santa.
Morning. New radiator being fitted this morning, which has meant getting the anxious dog out earlier than normal and sedating him. So he's tripping balls upstairs with my wife (who is furious about early start).

This is the 3rd attempt to get this done, just waiting on plumbers cancelling, obvs.

Woke up with “Your Kiss is on My List” as an earworm, forced a change, and now I’ve got “Sorrow”, which is far worse. 😿

Morning!

The firecat is back this morning, Milo is being beaten in the vacuum cleaning stakes. Even Renard the fox doesn’t do such a good job.

Been sitting out on the porch with AM, who seems to sleep there more and more often. Such a friendly boy, guess he’s worked out this is the best strategy to get through his chosen life course. Bojangles would be a good name for him.

Cannelloni v nice. Possibly the best I’ve ever made, or perhaps it’s just because I haven’t made anything like this for ages. Hoping the soft wheat crepes won’t hit my blood sugar like durum pasta does.

My crepe making is being observed.

Meat sauce on the go for the cannelloni. Smells nice. Quite a while since I’ve made any kind of bolognaise sauce.

Nice that Italian grub has been internationally recognised as a thing. So it should. Must put the French noses out of joint though. 😹😹😹😹

Great news for Bristol!

My wife and House Teen are obsessed with this story. They were having such a giggle about it. HT keeps showing me photos from a local Reddit of people in hi-vis cleaning up sausages.

No way in hell I’m going to get this project finished by Sunday. All I’ve done is wire the candles. Still all the acrylic work to be done, as well as the code to be written (although I can lift at least part of that from another project) Been feeling too ghastly to do much.

Only 2 out of stocks at Sainsbury’s this morning, neither too serious.

Hoping to make cannelloni today, although standing frying the crepes to wrap, may be an issue.
